Early Notice -Restarting Plot Inspections
We largely paused the process during the Covid lockdown for obvious reasons. We’re starting again though from November onwards. Watch out for more news in the next newsletter.
Pavilion News
As ever the view from the pavilion is subtly changing as plots begin to fade into Autumn. However when the sun shines there are few better places in the world to sit and have a pint or two. And we have some upcoming events!
Halloween
October sees our main event on the calendar: Halloween! A night to celebrate all things ghostly and scary! There will be a Halloween Party in the pavilion on Saturday 30th October. The pavilion will be fancy dressed so why not get ‘costumed up’ and come on down. There will be the usual range of beers and appropriately enough some excellent spirits! Who knows there may even be the odd spooky cocktail or two, and of course Dougie’s Pumpkin Soup!
Film Nights
We are still looking for suggestions for classic films that we can show on the big screen in High Definition. Please send any suggestions to madahal.pavilion@gmail.com
Christmas Fayre
It's Sunday 28th November - Apologies for the change of date. Our first post pandemic Fayre. Let’s make it a great one! We’ll be open for business from 12 onwards; the bar will be open and we’ll have hot and cold food throughout the day (hot pork baps, tea and cake) with our friends Carters of Moseley bringing us something tasty again later in the afternoon. Stalls are filling up; if anyone is interested they should contact Max at madahal.chair@gmail.com or Maureen at madahal.finance@gmail.com
Tombola prizes are needed, please do leave your donations with bar staff or let Max/ Maureen know and they will arrange to collect.
Christmas Children’s Party
We’re still looking for a volunteer to lead on this event - which is normally a great success for kids and parents alike. If you’re interested please contact Max at madahal.chair@gmail.com
Elephant Garlic!
This weekend (16th /17th October) only. We have a small supply of elephant garlic bulbs – in pots ready to plant – available at the bar. Ludicrous price of £1 for large and 50p for medium sized bulb – payable by card or cash.
The New Ratcatcher!
Couldnt resist Carol's pic of our latest social member (no he doesn't pay a fee). One of our youngest members, but that doesnt stop him looking like he owns the place....
