Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, T+Cs

As an organisation accepting payments online, we are obliged to set out the below policies accessible via all pages on this website.​

Refund Policy

  • What goods are returnable (or which are not) 

    • We will list the refund policy per item on the relevant product page, but as standard, we adhere to a 14 day returns policy providing items are not damaged / tickets have not been used. Key returns are to be refunded at the pavilion bar.

  • When you will offer / pay a refund

    • We will refund as soon as we have collated the details required - and endeavour to make a payment either online or in cash within 10 days​ of the initial complaint.

  • How customers can claim a refund, or make an exchange

 

  • Your exchange rules

    • If for whatever reason you purchase a product / key which is faulty and does not work, please let us know and we'll happily swap it. Contact us directly via email or via the website.​

​

  • The customer's right to cancel an order

    • Customers can cancel an order within 48 hours of purchase - if this time has lapsed and you'd still like to cancel, please get in touch via email.​

 

  • When refunds or exchanges are prohibited

    • Refunds on products that have been used or damaged cannot be offered. Refunds on tickets cannot be offered if the event was attended.​

Privacy Policy

The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Name, home address, email address, telephone number, plot number

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • You have made a website account, signed up to the newsletter, purchased a product, RSVPs to an event, or signed up to have your own allotment.

 

We may also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  • Council, events at the allotment where you've provided your details

 

We use the information that you have given us in order to maintain contact with all of our members and community.

We may share this information with the local council if required.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: 

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting madahal.secretary@gmail.com

(b) We have a contractual obligation.

(c) We have a legal obligation.

(d) We have a vital interest.

(e) We need it to perform a public task.

 

We collect personal information via submission forms on the website, and when you purchase products via the website or create an account.

We collect this information in order to keep track of orders, email you offers and updates, newsletters, and maintain a list of plot-holders / social members / customers.

It is unlikely we will ever need to share your information, but if the requirement arises we will contact you requesting permission to share your details. The exception to this rule is if a Council authority, or local police force required your contact details.

You can request that we delete your details at any time, we will happily oblige.

Your information is securely stored within our Wix platform, and backed up occasionally in Google Drive.

We cleanse our data every year to the best of our ability, but we encourage you to request the removal of your data if you'd no longer like to be contacted or stored in the database.

Terms and Conditions

  • Ownership and Copyright of the Website's Content

    • Moor Green Allotments will make it clear where content is not to be shared - otherwise, our content belongs to our community. ​

 

  • Acceptable and Unacceptable Use of the Website and Content

    • MGA will not tolerate rude or aggressive messages via the website, or sharing of inappropriate images.​

 

  • Registration, Password and Security Procedures

    • MGA has no access to your password - this is stored securely by Wix. For matters regarding security, we will refer you to them.​

 

  • Availability of the Website

    • We are not tech heads at MGA! However, we'll try to keep the website up and running for you to enjoy. We cannot guarantee uptime, though.​

 

  • Use of Cookies

    • MGA hasn't the desire or knowledge on how to use Cookies. Wix may save Cookies for the purpose of gathering data on the location of website uses, but otherwise MGA has no interest in your internet activity. ​

 

  • Links to Other Websites

    • We may add links to the website guiding you to useful places like the local council website, RHS, and other gardening / allotment resources. We are not liable for any issues caused by these websites.​

  • Liability Disclaimers and Limitation

    • MGA accepts no liability for issues caused by third party websites. Contact us if you've experienced a problem with the MGA website.​
