IT'S COMING HOME (Hopefully)!

Last night at the pavilion......

Put down the spade, step away from the broad beans, Sunday sees that perfect storm of a Wimbledon final in the afternoon (participants unknown at the time of writing) and England facing Italy in the Final of Euro 2020. Much as we all love tending our plots on Sunday they can take care of themselves!

To make it a special day for Plotholders and Social Members we are going making the pavilion THE place to be on Sunday! Jon Hillier has managed to get a good supply of excellent craft ales from the renowned GlassHouse Brewery, including a cheeky raspberry ale!

That singularly English summer drink Pimms No1 will be available by the pitcher or by the glass! Lots of ice and all the 'trimmings'

From 2 O'Clock to coincide with the Wimbledon Men's Singles Final which will be shown on the big (nay huge!) screen Cream Teas will be available. Two scones, strawberry jam, clotted cream and of course tea! Whether you put the jam or the cream on first is entirely up to you!

Then from 6 O'Clock a Barbecue is planned, juicy beef burgers, chicken in tangy Barbeque sauce,for the veggies Haloumi burgers with red peppers and not least for any vegans Portabello mushroom burgers, all topped of with a choice of two homemade slaws and hot baked potatoes!

Barbecue is subject to weather, but hopefully we can get something in place to keep the chef dry!

Also as we have no real idea on numbers both cream teas and barbecue is on a first come first served basis to avoid unnecessary waste.

Then at 8 O'Clock the big one! England take on the impressive Italians in a bid to send the entire country loopy with delight!

Hopefully there is something for all here. Come just for the tennis and cream tea or for the barbecue and the football or come for the whole day and indulge yourself!
