This can't wait for the next proper Newsletter in early November because it's mainly about

Rent Collection!

Many thanks to all of you who have paid up over the last two weekends - and of course the volunteers who have collected the rents. But we still have about 25% of rents unpaid, so we're going to open for collection for another weekend.

When: 23rd/24th October

When exactly: between 12.00 and 3.00 p,m

How: By cheque or card if at all possible. Please bring either your debit card or cheque book if you can. Or at least the right change...

Meet for a friendly, informal gathering to:

  • Ask questions,

  • Get possible answers, Share experiences,

  • Get the most recent trial results and recommendations from Which Gardening and RHS.


Meet in the pavilion on Saturday morning from 10.00am for informal conversation, leading to more structured input from me (Oz), and where appropriate looking at some plots for practical examples. Next dates

October 23rd. Getting straight for winter, Pests & Diseases. Weed control etc. Over-wintering crops.

November 20th. Choosing, Buying & Winter pruning of fruit trees & Bushes.
